Custom Storage Case Studies
Melbourne Primary Schools
Product: Admin Control Mini Lockers
Dimensions: 800mmH x 1200mmW x 240mmD
Requirements: With the introduction of new legislation preventing students from handling phones during school hours, many schools came to us for our mini locker and micro locker solutions. Some schools, however, were after an innovative solution that somewhat automated the control of phone access. The admin control mini locker was born. Available in 30 door and 60 door units, the exterior door prevents unauthorised access to users without the assistance of the locker administrator. This particular locker was fitted with a digital lock that was coded alike across multiple units. This means that a teacher can provide access to all the lockers in an instant. The interior doors were fitted with the Gemini 2700 mechanical combination lock, ensuring that even once opened, each student still needed to input their own unique code.
Hayman Island Marina
Product: SCUBA Gear Storage Cupboard
Dimensions: 1800mmH x 900mmW x 700mmD
Requirements: The Marina needed a product with the strength of steel yet would be corrosion resistant due to the salt-water environment. Two different SCUBA gear cupboards were designed. One features reinforced welded shelving, the other with a stainless steel hanging rail. Both feature Interpon Metaprep Primer, that fully encapsulate the steel and dramatically reduces the risk and impact of corrosion.
Australian Defence Force
Product: Personnel Locker with internal secure locking
Dimensions: 1850mmH x 495mmW x 450mmD
Requirements: We were approached for a ADF multi-site project, for a steel locker that included a secure internal storage compartment for mace, handcuffs and other restricted products. To achieve this, we added extra support steel to attach the internal door, and modified the top and external door to allow a high range of motion for the internal door hinges.
Residential Interior Designer
Product: Personnel Locker with internal secure locking
Dimensions: 1850mmH x 1140mmW x 450mmD
Requirements: An interior designer approached us on behalf of their client, for a specific piece of furniture. They needed a mixed locker: part open shelving, part lockable. We were able to reposition the shelves and bank the lockers together resulting in a buffet-esque style piece of furniture designed to last forever.
NSW Rural Fire Service
Product: Underbed Hanging Locker
Dimensions: 380mmH x 1850mmW x 450mmD
Requirements: Across Australia, the Rural Fire Service utilises our lockers for their bunks. The Underbed Locker has steel hooks to connect to the underside of bunks to give on site, personal, secure storage for our brave fire fighters.
Kmart
Product: Document Compliance Box
Dimensions: 250mmH x 500mmW x 400mmD
Requirements: Kmart made the request for a metal, lockable storage box for each of their sites around Australia. Statewide provided them with the Document Compliance Box. Effectively a tiny, single compartment locker to store A4 documents for quick access by employees.
NSW Police Force
Product: 2 Tier Mailing Lockers with Vertical Mail Slots
Dimensions: 1800mmH x 380mmW x 450mmD
Requirements: NSW Police were looking for a new, efficient way to transmit documents between departments and staff. They requested vertical mailing slots in 2 tier lockers, to facilitate this process.
Education Department - Queensland
Product: Storage Cupboard with External Padlockable Secure Bar
Dimensions: 1850mmH x 900mmW x 450mmD
Requirements: Several schools in Queensland were looking for cupboards that were equipped with an external locking bar that was padlockable, to further reduce the risk of unauthorised access. To achieve this goal, we welded a bracket to the top and base of the locker and supplied a full length locking bar. The bar slots into the base, and over the top bracket, at which point a heavy duty padlock that we also supplied is attached. The bar was designed to cover the keyhole of the door lock, preventing access to the barrel until the bar is removed.
King's Comics
Product: Comic Display and Storage Cabinet
Dimensions: 715mmH x 900mmW x 450mmD
Requirements: Kings Comics approached us with a unique request. They needed a strong cabinet that could hold comics upright whilst still showing customers that there were comics available inside. We reduced the height of the drawer front whilst maintaining the integrity of the unit. We welded dividers inside the drawers, to keep the comics neat, inline and upright. We then used Textura powder coat to create a scuff resistant surface suitable for use in a retail comic book store.
